Ideas are shapes only as large as the idea.
An idea is only skin; its own skin.
Its insides are the air it takes to support its brief existence.
Ideas don’t last.
They float on streams of second’s gentle breath; spirit-like.
Ideas are birthed and usually die within the same minute.
Not brittle or frail, an idea is strong, but is created just for a puff of time; thin in its own lifespan.
Be quick to recognize an idea.
Savor the encounter, but don’t fall in love with it. They die quick and are only wet adapted memories afterward. Not the same as the original; never the same. An idea’s DNA changes in death. It will not reproduce itself in total.
Be quick to recognize an idea.
Do not create an imposter.
How interesting and thought provoking.
“They float on streams of second’s gentle breath…” I love this line.
I love this!
I have read it over and over; how I wish I had written it!
Giant bubbles on the beac – wonderful!

Your writing is as ephemeral as the images beside it. Love them both!
Loved it and loved the video too …. very thought provoking thank you x
What a beautiful concept. I like the way you reiterated “be quick to recognize the idea”. I want to dance with the giant bubbles! Oh, they are so lovely. xoXox
such a great poem and your video just adds to the poem so much. I am so happy that I stopped by to read and your have done such a wonderful job on this poem thanks for sharing

Your words are describing a very different concept of the word idea. I think the approach to the prompt is unique. I enjoyed this very much.
The video broguht tears to my eyes. The enchanting world of bubbles I played in as a child. I wish I could have seen someone making bubbles, like the man on the beach, when I was a child.
Captivating,
Isadora
Ideas, like bubbles, do come and go so quickly – exciting and beautiful for a few seconds and *pop*…if you don’t act on them. I think that’s the curse of Creatives. 🙂 Well done acting on your “bubble” of an idea…lovely poem!

lovely physiology,
Great! (Ironically, I’ve been working on a similar concept for the past two days!) the ephemerality –the other dimensioness. This world (many believe, today,) is a ‘social construct’ visavis ‘Ideas’. What’s real? History re-written? Perspectives, impressions…ideas.
your line They float on streams of second’s gentle breath …indeed!
Be quick to recognize an idea. (yes! Evanescence!)
It will not reproduce itself in total. Yes…the re-writing of history and the ruling zietgeist of the changing period.
you write:
Be quick to recognize an idea.
Do not create an imposter.
….so hard not creating imposters, isn’t it? each re-creation is an imposter.
The video is embellishment….a ‘poem collage.’ Nice job.
‘the brief life of a Giant Sinson Beach Bubble.’ but yet so powerful in its brief presence.
Thank you for sharing this poem.
This gives the mind something to think about and come up with new ideas 🙂 Ideas don’t last… that is a bit sad, they can last because we can share them I hope. Lovely.
This is a wonderful piece 🙂
a smart way to express your ideas,
thanks for the poem and video too.
thoughtful.
there is something very familiar about your poem, I saw all my dreams floating in the bubbles, bubble dreams suspended and some unable to be reached
This is so very true… I hate it when I get a really good idea, and I’ve lost it before I’ve had time to remember it 😦
