Rose scented candles
wait for
a flicker
of flame.
In stillness
of silent readiness
they smell
like roses
slouching in dark.
_____
Cobwebbed chambers,
indolent heart,
linger for impulse,
rots
loitering for life
that left the building.
Very well crafted!Loved the metaphors.. :)Many Hugs xox
You speak of emptiness and wasted potential so eloquently.

Beautiful vision and well penned poem
very cute imagery, brilliantly done.:)
I like this, particularly the last stanza, good effective metaphor
Underneath these images, I get the sense of waiting in vain for…something. Well written!
spider on flowerif I seem lazy, I'm notfly here and behold…I dig the sense of suspense here, as if the speaker is asking a question that the reader must answer. Excellent!
